Razvijena je na stazi N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife, jednoj od najizazovnijih trka\u0107ih staza na svijetu, a pokre\u0107e je dvolitarski turbo motor s vi\u0161e od 300 KS te je opremljena svim klju\u010dnim visokotehnolo\u0161kim komponentama iz modela Opel Astra OPC Cup. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Astra OPC EXTREME razvijena je izravno iz Cup verzije te na cestu prenosi \u010distu trka\u010du tehnologiju. Kao \u0161to je bilo o\u010dekivano, reakcija javnosti na novu Astru je pozitivna, pa Opel planira serijski proizvesti ovaj supersportski EXTREME namijenjen cestovnoj vo\u017enji u manjem broju primjeraka. Njegov dvolitarski turbo benzinski motor sa direktnim ubrizgavanjem i varijabilnim razvodom ventia i najsna\u017eniji je \u010detverocilindri\u010dni motor koji je Opel ikad proizveo.<\/p>\n<p>Motor na\u010dinjen posve od aluminija uparen je sa \u0161estostepenim ru\u010dnim mjenja\u010dem koji snagu na kota\u010de prenosi pomo\u0107u prednjeg diferencijala sa blokadom.
