No, ovo su bile i karakteristike Volvo vizije automobila budu\u0107nosti nazvane LCP 2000 (Light Component Project), predstavljene prije ta\u010dno 30 godina, u kasno prolje\u0107e 1983. godine.<\/p>\n<p>Ideja o LCP konceptu rodila se 1979. godine, kao svojevrsna kombinacija studije elektri\u010dnog vozila iz 1976. godine i projekta ultralaganog automobila imena Ellen. Bilo je potrebno stvoriti pokretni prototip ultralaganog automobila koji je efikasan po pitanju potro\u0161nje goriva, a istovremeno siguran i prakti\u010dan kao i svaki normalan automobil. Tim koji je vodio genijalni in\u017eenjer Rolf Mellde, trebao je iskoristiti prednosti novih materijala i tehnologija. LCP je trebao uspje\u0161no ugostiti minimalno dvoje ljudi, te\u017eiti maksimalno 700 kg, te tro\u0161iti manje od 4 litre na 100 km. Za 1979. godinu prili\u010dno nerealna kombinacija.<\/p>\n<p>Napravljena su ukupno \u010detiri automobila, svi sa malim tehni\u010dkim razlikama, a prvi put su predstavljeni na seminaru o \u017eivotnoj okolini u Stockholmu u prolje\u0107e 1983. godine. LCP 2000 je izgledao poput automobila, ali ipak druga\u010dije &#8211; klinasti hatchback sa dvoje vrata, ravnim stra\u017enjim dijelom i plasti\u010dnim poklopcem prtlja\u017enika, koji je slu\u017eio i kao ulaz na stra\u017enju klupu. Ovo neobi\u010dno rje\u0161enje je upori\u0161te imalo u sigurnosti i ponudi prostora. Ovaj je automobil imao i dovoljno prtlja\u017enog prostora. Ukoliko bolje pogledate, u LCP-u \u0107ete prepoznati elemente Volva 480, predstavljenog tri godine kasnije.<\/p>\n<p>LCP je bio opremljen specijalno dizajniranim turbodizelskim motorima. Oba su bile trocilindarske koncepcije, ali jedan je bio 1.3 litarski sa 50 KS izra\u0111en od legure magnezija, a drugi 1.4 litarski sa 90 KS izra\u0111en od ljevanog \u017eeljeza i sa uljnim hla\u0111enjem. Snaga se na prednji par to\u010dkova slala putem petostepenog manuelnog mjenja\u010da ili elektrificiranog CVT-a. Za pogon su koristili razne vrste alternativnog goriva, kao \u0161to je recimo uljana repica. U izradi automobila su kori\u0161tene razli\u010dite vrste plastike, magnezija i aluminija, a mala senzacija su bili okviri vrata od karbonskih vlakana, tada potpuno novog i nekori\u0161tenog materijala.<\/p>\n<p>Ipak, tr\u017ei\u0161te nije bilo spremno za ovaj ekolo\u0161ki osvije\u0161ten automobil. Konvencionalni automobili su bili predominantni i svi su bili u potrazi za \u0161to boljim performansama. No, LCP 2000 je kao koncept i ideja izazvao velik interes. Studije potro\u0161nje energije tokom \u017eivotnog ciklusa od proizvodnje, preko kori\u0161tenja, do enventualne recikla\u017ee su bile baza za Volvo ekolo\u0161ku strategiju EPS.<\/p>\n<p>Danas je LCP 2000 izlo\u017een u Volvo muzeju te i dalje, 30 godina nakon predstavljanja, izaziva mnogo interesa, mo\u017eda \u010dak i vi\u0161e nego kad se pojavio.
