Njihova pojava je vjerovatno uzrokovana vi\u0161emjese\u010dnim radom na razvoju porodi\u010dnih automobila gdje su glavne preokupacije zone savijanja pri sudaru, emisija CO2&#8230; Ko od takvih stvari ne bi poludio?? \u00a0&#8220;Gospodo molim vas, danas vadimo zadnje sjedi\u0161te i na njegovo mjesto stavljamo motor! Neki V6 ako je mogu\u0107e. Sjedalice za djecu? Baziran na izgledu &#8220;obi\u010dne&#8221; petice tada\u0161nji predsjednik Renaulta obratio se Bertoneu sa zahtjevom da se napravi sportska verzija &#8220;Renault 5 Alpine&#8221; sa sredi\u0161nje smje\u0161tenim motorom. Pogonio ga je 1.4 turbo sa 160KS na zadnjoj osovini. Bio je to automobil sa prednjim pogonom, nesvakida\u0161nje za reli, sa motorom od dva litra i 285 KS. Pogon i ovjes \u00a0je bio \u00a0toliko dobar da su te\u017eina motora naprijed i lako\u0107a zadnjeg dijela pru\u017eali izuzetan grip na prednjoj osovini i upravljivost potpomognuta razigranim zadnjim dijelom. Napravljen je u dva primjerka povodom proslave izuzetnog uspjeha monovolumenskog porodi\u010dnog automobila Espace. Platformu je sa\u010dinjavao (sad polako pro\u010ditajte) F1 bolid &#8220;Williams FW15&#8221;, kojeg je vozio Alain Prost i osvojio voza\u010dku i konstruktorsku titulu 1993.g. 650 KS sna\u017ena V10 ma\u0161ina podarila je performanse od kojih bi se i Veyron postidio. 0-100 Km\/h za 2,9 s, 0-200Km\/h 6,9 sec. Espace F1 je u razmaku od 600 metara bio u stanju ubrzati do 270Km\/h te posti\u0107i mirovanje, da u 600 metara. Proizveden pod vodstvom Toma Walkinshawa u TWR-ovoj tvornici u Engleskoj, 225 KS sna\u017ean Clio sa sredi\u0161njim motorom bio je ozlogla\u0161en po nepredvidivom upravljanju naro\u010dito na mokrom, kao i po ne nekoj naro\u010ditoj brzini. Sredi\u0161nji 3.0 litreni V6 je poja\u010dan na 255KS i bio je tada najja\u010di serijski hot hatch automobil. U &#8220;friziranje&#8221; motora je upetljan i Porsche. Pogonio ga je Vel Satisov V6 3,5 litreni motor koji je baza Nissanu 350z te Renault 3,5 Formula seriji. 320KS sna\u017ean atmosferski motor pored dobrih performansi odlikovao je &#8220;simfonijski&#8221; zvuk koji podsje\u0107a na V12 ma\u0161ine.
