Ipak, neki detalji tek podsje\u0107aju na 207, a tu prvenstveno mislimo na prednje farove koji su, iako sli\u010dnog polo\u017eaja i veli\u010dine, malo druga\u010dijeg oblika nego oni na modelu 207. Zato je na 208 prednja maska u potpunosti nova i u zavisnosti od paketa opreme mo\u017ee biti sa\u0107asta ili sa ravnim letvicama. Maska hladnjaka je \u0161estougaona i obrubljena je kromiranom linijom. Upravo zbog ove maske 208 izgleda veoma markantno i te\u0161ko da \u0107ete ga zamijeniti sa nekim drugim modelom. Bademasti farovi su veliki, a na njihovom vrhu su LED dnevna svjetla. Tu je i masivan prednji odbojnik, na kome su u uglovima smje\u0161tene prednje maglenke. Novost je i kromirani natpis Peugeot na vrhu maske hladnjaka, tik ispod logoa legendarnog propetog lava. Bo\u010dna linija automobila ne\u0161to je vi\u0161a nego kod 207, \u0161to se znatno osjeti u unutra\u0161njosti, jer putnici imaju vi\u0161e prostora. Izgled stra\u017enjeg kraja ima nekih sli\u010dnosti sa prethodnicima, a tu posebno mislimo na izgled stra\u017enjih svjetlosnih grupa, koje pomalo li\u010de na one kod modela 206. Cijeli kokpit zna\u010dajno je druga\u010diji nego kod modela 207, a dizajn enterijera podre\u0111en je mladoj generaciji. Zanimljivo je rje\u0161enje centralne konzole: dizajneri su se odlu\u010dili da njen vrh zauzme audiosistem, dok su ispod njega otvori za klimatizaciju, kao i njihove kontrole. Zato je pristup i kontrola audiosistemu, ili touchscreen sistemu u skupljim paketima, znatno olak\u0161an i ne odvla\u010di pa\u017enju tokom vo\u017enje. Jedina zamjerka je da se ekran audioure\u0111aja iz testiranog modela ne vidi dobro na dnevnom osvjetljenju. Jo\u0161 jedan zanimljiv detalj je i polo\u017eaj odli\u010dne instrument table. Ona je sada zna\u010dajno povu\u010dena ispod vjetrobranskog stakla i udaljenija je od volana. Tako\u0111er, iako u ovom paketu opreme volan nije presvu\u010den ko\u017eom, zbog kvalitetne plastike uop\u0107e ne izgleda jeftino, ni na oko, a ni na dodir, \u0161to je samo dodatni plus. Ono \u0161to jo\u0161 upada u o\u010di je i masivna ru\u010dica mjenja\u010da, koja izgleda kao da dolazi iz modela 508, mada i velika ru\u010dica ima svojih prednosti prilikom promjene brzina. Prostora u enterijeru ima sasvim dovoljno, a to se pogotovo odnosi na prednja, mora se re\u0107i, udobna sjedi\u0161ta. Ovaj motor tako\u0111er je jedan od plodova saradnje sa njema\u010dkim proizvo\u0111a\u010dem automobila BMW. Ja\u010dina motora iznosi 95 konjskih snaga, uz obrtni moment od 136 Nm. Mo\u017ee se re\u0107i da se ovaj motor dobro nosi sa karoserijom 208, ali se vidi da mu pri ve\u0107im brzinama brzo ponestaje daha. Me\u0111utim, to je rezultat toga \u0161to je ECU ovog motora pode\u0161en da zadovoljava sve stro\u017eije norme o kvaliteti ispuha. U gradskim uslovima potro\u0161nja se kretala izme\u0111u sedam i osam litara bezolovnog benzina, mada u uslovima kreni-stani vo\u017enje, prosjek raste i litar vi\u0161e. Mjenja\u010d je petostepeni i omjer brzina je podre\u0111en manjoj potro\u0161nji, tako da ne treba o\u010dekivati neke visoke performanse, \u0161to je i logi\u010dno. Tako, maksimalna brzina iznosi ne\u0161to vi\u0161e od 180 kilometara na sat, dok \u0107e do 100 kilometara na sat 208 do\u0107i za 10,7 sekundi. Peugeot 208 najbolje se snalazi u gradskim uslovima, te je zbog svojih dimenzija idealan za lako manevriranje. Tome poma\u017ee i elektroprogresivni servo, \u010dime je okretanje i parkiranje jo\u0161 lak\u0161e. Podvozje ovog modela je ne\u0161to tvr\u0111e nego u prethodnicima, iako je Peugeot zadr\u017eao provjerenu \u0161emu polukrute stra\u017enje osovine, koja ponekad \u010de\u0161\u0107e izrazi poskakivanje stra\u017enjeg dijela vozila prilikom prelaska preko neravnina.<\/p>\n<p><b>Serijska oprema<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Testni model bio je u paketu opreme Active koji u serijskoj opremi ima sigurnosne sisteme ABS, ESP, REF, AFU, zatim tempomat, \u0161est zra\u010dnih jastuka, pode\u0161avaju\u0107i servo volan, centralno zaklju\u010davanje sa daljinskim, prednje sjedi\u0161te sa pode\u0161avanjem visine, board kompjuter, elektro pode\u0161avanje retrovizora sa grija\u010dima, radio sa MP3 i AUX opcijom i \u010detiri zvu\u010dnika, prednja svjetla za maglu, manuelnu klimu, elektri\u010dne
