Focus je ve\u0107 na po\u010detku prodaje druge generacije imao odli\u010dne prodajne rezultate i kupci su se vrlo lako opredjeljivali za ovaj model. Facelift je bio samo logi\u010dan korak na odr\u017eavanju kvalitete i renomea, koje ovaj automobil ima ve\u0107 dugo vremena. Gledaju\u0107i ovaj automobil sprijeda, tu je do\u0161lo do najve\u0107ih promjena. Sada su tu druga\u010dija prednja svjetla, mnogo zaobljenija, tako da je postignut bademasti oblik. Ovaj detalj je vrlo efektivan, a mora se priznati i da je atraktivniji, a na ovaj na\u010din je postignuta i bolja vidljivost prilikom vo\u017enje po no\u0107i. Prednja karambolka je sada mnogo masivnija, a na njoj je primjetan veliki otvor hladnjaka, dok su u uglovima karambolke smje\u0161tena svjetla za maglu. \u010citav prednji dio sada odi\u0161e sportskom notom, \u0161to u kombinaciji bijele boje testnog modela, osvaja na prvu. Bo\u010dna strana automobila nije previ\u0161e mijenjana, a na testnom modelu su stra\u017enja bo\u010dna stakla bila zatamnjena. Stra\u017enja strana automobila nije do\u017eivjela velike promjene, pa je tako samo izmijenjen izgled grafike stra\u017enjih svjetala, dok se na stra\u017enjoj karambolci sada nalaze nova svjetla za maglu i svjetlo za vo\u017enju unazad. To se prvo odnosi na ne\u0161to mek\u0161u plastiku kokpita, koja je sada mnogo prijatnija na dodir. Centralni dio kokpita je do\u017eivio najve\u0107e izmjene u vidu novog izgleda odli\u010dnog audiosistema Sony, dok je tu jo\u0161 smje\u0161tena i jednostavna, ali vrlo u\u010dinkovita, automatska digitalna klima. Bitno je ista\u0107i da je u ovom modelu na \u010ditav centralni greben umetnuta sjajna plastika, kao imitacija aluminija te da se vrlo lijepo uklopila u ostatak izgleda unutra\u0161njosti. Promjene je do\u017eivio i izgled ru\u010dice mjenja\u010da, koja sada mnogo bolje le\u017ei u ruci. Instrument tabla je tako\u0111er do\u017eivjela promjene, a i ona je dobila sjajnu plastiku. Izme\u0111u dva instrument kruga smje\u0161ten je board kompjuter, koji je u ovom modelu dobio i opciju Econetic. \u010cetverokraki volan odli\u010dno le\u017ei u ruci, a na njemu su ovaj put bile smje\u0161tene komande tempomata. Ono \u0161to je godinama bilo sinonim za Focusa, a to je prostranost, dokazuje se i u ovom modelu. Putnici, zaista, imaju mnogo prostora, a pogotovo oni na stra\u017enjim sjedi\u0161tima, koji imaju osje\u0107aj da se voze u drugoj klasi automobila. Pritom, uop\u0107e nije naru\u0161ena udobnost sjedi\u0161ta, dok voza\u010dko sjedi\u0161te daje dobar oslonac voza\u010du. Radi se o dobro provjerenom agregatu, sa ja\u010dinom od 110 KS i obrtnim momentom od 240 Nm. Kako smo ve\u0107 pisali o ovom agregatu, ne\u0107emo tro\u0161iti previ\u0161e teksta da to ponovimo, ali \u0107emo samo naglasiti da se radi o odli\u010dnom i elasti\u010dnom agregatu. Me\u0111utim, u Econetic verziji, ovaj agregat je do\u017eivio neke promjene. Tako je sada ovom modelu dodan DPF filter \u010destica \u010da\u0111i, tu su jo\u0161 i nove brizgaljke goriva, dok je sam usisni sklop dodatno prilago\u0111en efikasnijem protoku zraka. Izduvni sistem je dobio senzor kisika, a upravlja\u010dka elektronika je posebno reprogramirana i optimizirana za potrebe ekonomi\u010dne i ekolo\u0161ke vo\u017enje. Jo\u0161 jedno malo iznena\u0111enje jeste to \u0161to je ovaj model opremljen sa sistemom regenerativnog punjenja koji pove\u0107ava izlaznu struju alternatora kada automobil usporava. Ovo pretvara kineti\u010dku energiju u elektri\u010dnu energiju bez dodatne potro\u0161nje goriva, a ova elektri\u010dna energija se koristi za punjenje akumulatora, tako da se mo\u017ee kasnije iskoristiti i za elektri\u010dne sisteme. Prilikom razvoja Econetic modela, posebna pa\u017enja bila je posve\u0107ena tehnologiji Low Tension FEAD (Front End Accesssory Drive), a koja se sastoji od novodizajniranog nosa\u010da alternatora i novog dizajna remenice koji omogu\u0107avaju da zategnutost pomo\u0107nog remena bude manja bez uzrokovanja problema kao \u0161to su pove\u0107ano tro\u0161enje remena ili le\u017eajeva alternatora. Ovim promjenama je ostvarena manja napetost remena i trenja u cijelom sistemu, a manje trenja dovodi i do smanjene potro\u0161nje goriva. Osim ovoga, voza\u010d na instrument tabli ima opciju pokaziva\u010da idealne izmjene brzina, \u010dime se \u0161tedi gorivo i, naravno, \u010duva okolina. Ina\u010de, kao mogu\u0107nost doplate u Econetic modelima postoji i Start&amp;Stop sistem, koji automatski pali i gasi vozilo, prilikom stajanja ili kretanja.<br \/>\nOno \u0161to nedostaje ovom modelu jeste \u0161esta brzina, koja bi jo\u0161 vi\u0161e smanjila potro\u0161nju i rasteretila motor, ali bez obzira na to, prilikom vo\u017enje ovog automobila prosjek potro\u0161nje nije prelazio vi\u0161e od 5,5 litara dizela na 100 kilometara. Uz ovaj model Focus je dobio i ne\u0161to direktnije pode\u0161en ovjes, \u0161to se ogleda u manjoj visini vozila, kako bi se smanjio otpor zraka prilikom kretanja vozila. To, kao da je dodatno doprinijelo voznim osobinama automobiIa, koje su, ionako, odli\u010dne. Ovo bi se ve\u0107 moglo nazvati tradicijom, jer ve\u0107 od prve generacije Focusa, upravljanje je na zavidnom nivou koje, \u010dak, grani\u010di i sa sportskim. Odli\u010dno pode\u0161en ovjes dozvoljava o\u0161tre promjene pravca, dok u dugim i brzim zavojima bez pogovora ostaje neutralan. U ovom slu\u010daju, radilo se o osnovnoj opremi plus SX paket, a izme\u0111u ostalog tu je: daljinsko centralno zaklju\u010davanje, zra\u010dni jastuk za voza\u010da i suvoza\u010da, bo\u010dni zra\u010dni jastuci naprijed, alarm sa dvostrukim sigurnosnim zaklju\u010davanjem, progresivni servo upravlja\u010d podesiv po visini i dubini, Sony radio cd MP3 bluetooth ure\u0111aj, ABS, EBD, MBA, elektri\u010dno pokretana prednja stakla i vanjska ogledala, prednja svjetla za maglu, tempomat, dvozonski automatski klima ure\u0111aj, srednja konzola sa naslonja\u010dem, odgo\u0111eno ga\u0161enje prednjih svjetala, automatski uklju\u010dena svjetla danju, Econetic regenerativni sistem ko\u010denja, sportski pode\u0161en ovjes, komplet za reparaciju gume bez rezervnog to\u010dka, zatamnjena zadnja stakla, aluminijski 16-in\u010dni naplaci. Me\u0111utim, ono \u0161to mu ne ide u prilog jeste \u0161to je ovaj model Focusa ve\u0107 na zalasku, tako da uskoro o\u010dekujemo novu, tre\u0107u generaciju.
